Review: Resolution by Adriana Locke (Mason Family #5)

"Wade Mason," I say, my cheeks flushing. I smack him gently on the chest. "Are you being sweet?" 

"I know. I apologize."

Five books later, and I've finally made the difficult decision to name my favorite Mason brother. Yup, it's none other than Wade Mason. Maybe it's true that like attracts like, because just like Wade, I am very much your proverbial middle child (which is something I tell everyone who finds out I'm the third in a brood of five--yep, smack in the middle). Resolution is this architect's story, and it's one he shares with photographer Dara Alden. These two kinda-sorta-maybe have a past together, but to find out what it is, well, you'll just have to read the book. Past aside, Dara walks back into Wade's life as a client, mostly upon the recommendation and insistence of Dara's grandfather. She pushes all of Wade's buttons, as well nudging him out of his not-really-all-that-comfortable comfort zone. He resolves to ignore and resist Dara's undeniable charm, but even a indomitable man like Wade has limits.

Oh, Wade, Wade, Wade... How do you solve a problem like Wade Mason? Well, he wasn't as much a problem as he was wreaking havoc on Dara's heart, mind, and soul. She unknowingly (most of the time) was returning the favor. Now, me being the middle child that I am, there was a lot about Wade I easily related to. That being said, there was more than middle child syndrome that had him living his life the way that he was. On the other hand, Dara may have a sunnier outlook on life and easier to smile and show her feelings, but there are moments where she's forlorn, searching for what she's lost. And yes, I know I'm sounding a tad cryptic, but I don't want to inadvertently spoil this brilliant romance that made me smile, had me laughing, and led to me shedding a few tears. I've loved all of my reads from Adriana Locke, but Resolution? It's one my absolute favorites. Five-plus stars.
