Review: Hottie for the Holidays by Lili Valente
Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author.
Lili Valente's got not one, not two, but three holiday stories bundled together in her newest release, Hottie for the Holidays. Each one is a quick read, so you can choose to sneak one in if you're feeling the need for a pick-me-up that'll make you smile, or read all three in one sitting if you've got a day free.
MILF on the Shelf kicks things off, and it's a sweet age-gap romance between thirty-seven-year-old single mom and house flipper Maggie Peterson and twenty-nine-year-old date-for-hire and handyman Zachary "Coop" Cooper. This was a cute read (I do love me a well-written reverse age-gap romance).
Up to Snow Good is a kinda-sorta-maybe enemies-to-lovers romance. I say this because Lawrence Beverly didn't consider Lucy Billings his enemy, although the latter wasn't his biggest fan, but that was due to a lack of communication than anything else. This was a fun read AND had a streaker!
The Twelve Dates of Christmas is the last read, and it closes things out quite nicely with a story about a second chance that plays out over twelve dates. Tallulah "Lula" Watson and Carter Bryce were once meant to be, but he left and she stayed...and now he's back. This was sweet and quite heartwarming.
Hottie for the Holidays gets four stars. The three standalone stories are part of the following existing Lili Valente series: MILF on the Shelf is with the Big O Dating Specialists series; Up to Snow Good belongs to the Hunter Brothers series; and The Twelve Dates of Christmas is with the Lonesome Point series.
