Review: Play Room by Heidi McLaughlin & L.P. Dover (Society X #3)

Note: This ARC was provided by the authors via Enticing Journey Book Promotions in exchange for an honest review.

Society X is back and Heidi McLaughlin and L.P. Dover have certainly made the wait worthwhile with the third novel, Play Room. We've got Alexandria Miller and Kai Robicheau, two people who sign up to join this secret club, and within its confines, they feel freer than ever before. Maybe it's the club; maybe it's because they're paired together. The virgin and the workaholic--opposites who find missing pieces of themselves within each other, creating balance. Alex and Kai make use of the Play Room, but soon discover it isn't all play for either one of them.

With her virginity hanging over her, Alex makes the decision to get it over and done with. She doesn't need any emotional entanglements, but she also doesn't want any fumbling around. She wants someone who knows what he's doing, and maybe she'll find what--who--she needs at Society X. Enter Kai, who realizes that the club allows him to embrace the kind of man that he is, and he may be exactly the kind of man that Alex is looking for. Everything between them may have started within the Play Room, but will it all end once the real world closes in?

I loved Kai and Alex! There was more to them than his sexual experience and her lack of it. These two worked so perfect well together that it was difficult not to want them to get to the happily-ever-after that the first two couples in the series already enjoy. Like the two novels before it, Play Room can very much be enjoyed as a standalone, but I do recommend that you check Dark Room and Viewing Room so that you have a more informed idea of what else this secret club has to offer. McLaughlin and Dover have done it again! Five stars for book three. ♥
