Review: Dirty Little Tease by Kendall Ryan (Forbidden Desires #0.5)
Dirty Little Tease is exactly what it is--a teaser of what you're going to get in Dirty Little Secret, the first full-length novel from bestselling author Kendall Ryan. Readers are introduced to twenty-nine-year-old librarian Emma Bell and thirty-four-year-old businessman Gavin Kingsley. There is a naivete to Emma, but that's balanced out by an intense curiosity, one that may cost her later on. Gavin, on the other hand, is experienced and worldly. There's a darkness to him that he fears threatens to blot out the light that Emma brings to him. They took note of one another from the moment their paths crossed in a coffee shop, but as much as she wants to get closer, he believes the best thing for her--and his own sanity--would be to keep her at bay. But all it takes is a little tease to tempt him.
If you're the type of reader that wants a sampling of what may lay ahead of them should they choose to continue reading a book, then there's nothing for you to lose should you dive into this prequel novella. It contains the first thirteen chapters in the full-length novel, so if you've already read Dirty Little Secret, you can very well skip this. However, Dirty Little Tease does contain a bonus: a prologue told from the point-of-view of Gavin. This prequel gives readers a basic idea of the intensity of the attraction between Gavin and Emma. We also get to meet Gavin's older and younger brothers, Quinn and Cooper, respectively. Go ahead and check out Dirty Little Tease. 3.5 stars. ♥
