Review: A Greene Family Christmas by Piper Rayne (The Greene Family #9.5)

I can't believe we've come to the end of the Greene Family series! Waaah! Just like the Baileys before them, the Greenes are a family I couldn't get enough of, and that's saying something considering neither clan was miniscule in terms of size. But here we are, with the final book, and it's a holiday novella that picks up a dozen years after the end of the last full-length novel, My Brother's Forbidden Friend. Now, Christmas is all about family and tradition, and for this family, Marla Greene has always spearheaded the preparations and festivities. When she gets knocked down by the flu, the rest of the family scrambles to ensure that everything is put together and goes off without a hitch. But these are the Greenes we're talking about, so amidst the flurries, the tinsel, the gingerbread, and the food, there are bound to be one or ten moments of drama-rama!

I loved, loved, loved seeing where all the Greene couples were at in their respective relationships. Readers met them while they were single and on their journeys to finding love and forever, and now, they have their own families to rear and raise. Catching up on how they all were after their happily-ever-afters feels like a bonus, as is often the case when it comes to these things. This also served as a great sneak peek into Rylan Greene and Calista Bailey as adults on the cusp of turning thirty. They've clearly got history--both good and not-so-good--and I can't wait to read their story when the Lake Starlight series begins next year. But for now, I'm happy I got to spend A Greene Family Christmas with them. The holiday novella easily gets 4.5 stars.
