Review: Rich in Your Love by Pippa Grant (Tickled Pink #2)

We're back in Tickled Pink, Wisconsin, and Pippa Grant is serving her irresistible blend of heart, heat, and humor with a healthy dose of angst in Rich in Your Love. This is the second book in the Tickled Pink series, and it's Octavia Lightly and Dylan Wright's story. Tavi's a twenty-nine-year-old influencer with millions of followers leading a double life. While people may see her as a vegan who eschews sugar and lives for fashion and fitness, Tavi's true devotion is her cacao farm in Costa Rica. Unfortunately, the farm is in dire straits and in order to save it, she needs her trust fund--which her grandmother controls. To gain access to it, Tavi's required to stay in the quirky town of Tickled Pink to work on a project of her grandmother's choosing. The project? None other than reformed bad boy and the town's handy, dandy plumbing expert, thirty-two-year-old Dylan. Getting him back into dating after pining after his best friend for years? No problem! Helping him gain an online following? Easy-peasy! Stopping herself from falling for him? Erm... Help?

Tavi and Dylan certainly gave Phoebe and Teague a run for their money with this second Tickled Pink novel! While a happily-ever-after was a guaranteed thing, getting their was no easy feat for these two, but it's those hard-earned HEAs that are the most satisfying, right? The glimpses we got of both Tavi and Dylan in The One Who Loves You belied just how much more there was to who they truly were and what it was they wished for most in their lives. Tavi was the proverbial middle child, and goodness, but how my heart went out to her. I could relate to quite a bit of what she experienced, but good on her for being her own person and embracing her awesomeness when it counted most. And just like Tavi, Dylan deserved a great deal more in his life and for himself, and I was tickled pink (yep, I went there!) that they found their way to each other. Dare I hope that Carter gets his own book too? These Lightlys are an entertaining crew. 4.5 stars for Rich in Your Love.

Review: The Room Mate by Kendall Ryan (Roommates #1)

I do believe I've found myself a new book boyfriend to drool, erm, swoon over in Cannon Roth, male main character in bestselling author Kendall Ryan's Roommates series starter, The Room Mate . This had a familiar romance trope--falling-for-your-best-friend's-sibling--and yet I didn't find it boring or tiresome in any way. This has both heart and heat as well as lighthearted humor along with a bit of heart-tugging angst and it's headlined by a couple of main characters that I was totally smitten with from the moment Paige got a pretty good idea of just how much her best friend's younger brother Cannon had grown up from the nerdy boy who followed them around like a puppy when they were kids.
