Review: Across Eternity by Elizabeth O'Roark (Across Time #2)

I listen to his steadily beating heart, torn between two contradictory emotions: so full of love for him I could weep, and so terrified of losing him that I feel violent and desperate in response. I need to tell him what I did. But not now, I think. Just let me enjoy this while I can.
Tissues. Why didn't this book come with a tissue warning?! Gaaaaah! A quick note: Across Time MUST be read before Across Eternity. This is a duet with a continuing story line with Amelie Besson/Sarah Stewart and Henri Durand as the main characters. If the whole Amelie slash Sarah thing is confusing to you, well, that's why you need to read the books in order. I promise, it'll all make sense. Also, while this duet is a spin-off of the Parallel duet, Elizabeth O'Roark has written this newer duet in a way that you'll be able to enjoy it on its own.
I'm not going to give a brief blurb about this book because it won't make sense if you've yet to read the first book. What I will tell you is that this was above and beyond more than I was expecting or even hoping for, and that's saying something because I was expecting A LOT. There are heartrending moments because Henri and Amelie/Sarah's love story isn't an easy journey, but goodness, how these two fight for their happily-ever-after. I cannot recommend this duology enough! Five-plus stars go to Across Eternity. đź–¤
