Review: Blended Whiskey by Layla Reyne (Agents Irish and Whiskey #3.6)
Gah! This free short story was the perfect epilogue to the Agents Irish and Whiskey series and a splendid prologue to its spin-off, Trouble Brewing. Former NBA player turned FBI Special Agent turned college basketball coach Jameson Walker has found the love of his life in FBI Special Agent-in-Charge Aidan Talley, and they're about to tie the knot. Surrounded by family and friends, Jamie and Aidan, the day is set to celebrate their love for one another and to honor those they lost but continue to love. It could also be the day where one kiss changes things for a Boston native and newest FBI Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge in the San Francisco field office and the current Assistant US Attorney, aka Cam Byrne and Nic Price, both of whom were supporting characters in this AIW series.
Blended Whiskey was a merging of three couples, two of whom have already gotten their happily-ever-afters--husbands Aidan and Jamie AND husband-and-wife Daniel Talley and Melissa Cruz--and one who has yet to get their story told--federal agent Cameron Byrne and attorney Dominic Price--but we get a taste of what's to come. This may "only" be a short story, but it's told from the points of view of the six characters mentioned and has just the right amount of sweet, silly, and sexy to make fans of the Agents Irish and Whiskey series happy campers. I know I am. This series is now one of my all-time favorites, and I can't wait to see what Layla Reyne brings us when Imperial Stout is released into the grabby hands of readers and fans everywhere. Blended Whiskey gets five stars. ♥
