Note: This ARC was provided by the author via IndiGo Marketing & Design in exchange for an honest review. “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” Hernán kissed Colin’s palm and said, “And you are my friend and my lover. You’re passionate and funny. You love Doctor Who and you love sex toys. There’s so much you keep locked away inside but still you let me see it. I want everyone else to see it too. To know my Colin. I’m screwing things up but I’m trying, I really am. Don’t give up on me. Please.” I was fortunate enough to have read and reviewed September , the first in the Pride and Joy series, in May of 2017 and listened to and reviewed the audiobook for it last month. The book was what introduced me to Robert Winter's writing, and I was so impressed with what I read that I immediately followed it with what was then the second book in the series, Every Breath You Take , when the series was published by Dreamspinner Press. I'm not entirely sure ab

Review: A Little Spark by Amy K. McClung

Note: This ARC was provided by the publisher via Give Me Books Promotions in exchange for an honest review. A Little Spark is my first Amy K. McClung and touts to employ one of my favorite tropes, enemies to lovers, although Samuel Warner and Jillian Hartford don't really start off as enemies nor is the "hate" mutual. Sam is a real estate agent who co-owns his company alongside his brother, who just happens to be marrying Jillian's estranged best friend from college. When Jillian is brought in as a last-minute replacement to someone in the entourage who couldn't make it, she finds herself partnered with Sam, her former best friend's future brother-in-law, who recognizes Jillian as the woman he couldn't help but notice the night before. There's a spark between the two of them, but each time their paths cross, they either get into an argument or Jillian distances herself from Sam. She can't deny the fact that she's attracted to him, and i

Our Unscripted Story by L.A. Fiore Release Date: March 30, 2018 About Our Unscripted Story Greyson Ratcliffe. I met him at sixteen, the hot new guy sitting on my jetty, an aspiring artist just passing through. He was my first kiss and my first love. I wanted forever with him. I didn’t even get a year. Five years later, I’m a budding writer who scripts stories of love and struggle, the good and the bad and the ups and the downs. He’s a star on the rise; his wicked talent and crazy good looks have his face plastered on countless magazines. We move in two different worlds and still our paths cross again. We’re older and wiser and as crazy about each other as we had been as teenagers. My medium is words and my imagination is limitless, but not even I could have written the incredible journey we traveled to reach our happily-ever-after. Life isn’t like fiction, and the greatest love stories don’t follow a script. Read my five-plus-starred review of Our Unsc

Review: Our Unscripted Story by L.A. Fiore

Note: This ARC was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Holy shit, that kiss. I found myself daydreaming about it and I didn't daydream. And it wasn't just because it was the best fucking kiss, it was the familiarity that hooked into me and refused to let go. I knew her and yet we'd never met before this. I was going mad, but there was comfort knowing Alexis was right there with me. L.A. Fiore isn't a new author; she is, however, new to me. Yes, you read that right. I'd never read anything by her until I had the opportunity to review her latest standalone, Our Unscripted Story . I have no idea how consistent of an author she is, although she's clearly a favorite with many a reader if I based it solely on the countless rave reviews I've skimmed through on Goodreads. However, if this book is any indication of what I've been missing not having read her past work, then I certainly deserve to be knocked upside the head because

Release Blitz: What He Always Knew by Kandi Steiner

What He Always Knew (What He Doesn't Know #2) by Kandi Steiner Release Date: March 29, 2018 About What He Always Knew Left or right. It’s that simple, and it isn’t simple at all. If I turn left, the road will lead me back to the man I promised my life to, the one I’d imagined building a family with, the one who’s done everything in his power to get me back. If I turn right, the road will take me to the man I loved first, the man who brought me back to life, the man who would do anything to keep me. I knew the fork in the road was inevitable; it was the decision I never wanted to make between choices I didn't know I had. And I love them both. My heart is destined to exist in two equal halves — one with each man. But one half beats stronger, the vein running deepest, and holds my choice in silence long before I know it for myself. The realization of what I have to do, of the heart I have to break, just might break mine too. Left or r

Note: This ARC was provided by the author via Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review. The truth was simple.   I loved them both.   My heart was forever severed, destined to exist in two equal halves — one with each man. But one half beat stronger, one half had the vein that ran deepest, and one half held my choice in silence well before I ever admitted it out loud. The other half would always be a part of me, but in a softer way — a more subdued beating, a quieter presence, a different kind of life support.   A different kind of love. Sigh. This book just... It broke my heart, and even though by the end it had somewhat mended, I can still feel my heart twinge at everything that unfolded in this conclusion to the What He Doesn't Know duet penned by Kandi Steiner. What He Always Knew picks up immediately after the events in the first book. Charlie Pierce is still very much married to her husband, Cameron, and is still very much entangled in an affair
