Review: Always Her Love by Melissa Foster (The Steeles at Silver Island #4)

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author.

Not only are we back on Silver Island, but we're splitting time over at Harborside as well in Always Her Love, the fourth novel in Melissa Foster's The Steeles at Silver Island. This story employs one of my all-time favorite tropes: the single parent romance! Said single parent is none other than Levi Steele, dad to eight-year-old Josephine, better known as Joey, owner of a franchise of a handyman business, and a Dark Knight with the Harborside chapter. He was only nineteen when he was informed by a one-time hook-up that she was pregnant, and from the moment Joey was born, he's been her only parent. Thankfully, though, they have a strong support system, but no one is as devoted to them as Joey's aunt, Tara Osten, who was only fifteen when her older sister gave birth to her niece. Over the years, she's become the one constant in both Levi's and Joey's lives. He's seen her grow up from an awkward, shy girl to the twenty-four-year-old talented photographer she is today. Lately though, he's beginning to see her in a whole new light--not as one of his closest friends and not as Joey's loving aunt, but as the woman he wants.

This book should come with a warning: CAUTION: HAWT! Seriously though, Levi and Tara's story is probably the hottest in the Steeles at Silver Island series so far. Levi is a dirty talker, and Tara has no qualms being open to not just listening to every naughty thing he says, but after years of crushing on the guy, she's eager and willing to explore new facets of their relationship. I loved seeing them go from platonic to passionate to romantic, and I appreciated that there wasn't any sort of drama-rama. Melissa Foster delivers a sweet and steamy romance with a moving story of family and home. Levi and Tara as main characters made it easy to become emotionally invested in them and everything and anything that was happening between them. Then there was Joey, and how beautiful their family was becoming. As always, the Steeles are #familygoals, and they, along with Levi's and Tara's friends were awesome supporting characters. Always Her Love easily receives five stars, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next Steele to fall in love.
