Review: Rocky Mountain Wedding by Sara Richardson (Heart of the Rockies #3.5)
Note: This ARC was provided by Grand Central Publishing (Forever) in exchange for an honest review.
All good things must come to an end, and the same goes for book series, even though it's always a sad event when I have to bid farewell to characters that I've fallen in love with. Author Sara Richardson ends her Heart of the Rockies contemporary romance series with one happily-ever-after after another with a novella entitled Rocky Mountain Wedding. Yup, if you thought the three novels and one other novella that came before this already had each of their HEAs, you're in for a treat because we not only get the wedding fans of the series are waiting for, but we've got all the other couples--Bryce and Avery Walker, Ben and Paige Noble, and Isaac and Julia Nash--we've grown to love from the series all together to celebrate the marriage and parenthood of Sawyer Hawkins and Ruby James from More Than a Feeling.
Sawyer and Ruby are just days away from finally tying the knot that will make their family complete, along with their adoption of their foster daughter Brooklyn. But there appears to be one hitch to their plans, a hitch that is soon followed up by a new one...and then another...and so on. The challenges could either make them stronger or break them down when cracks begin to show. They aren't alone though, surrounded by family and friends who want to make sure that the wedding goes off without a hitch, but that Sawyer, Ruby, and Brookie get the happily-ever-after that they've fought for and very much deserve. And to balance things out, the good stuff comes one after another as well, giving each of the couples that have graced the Walker Mountain Ranch something to celebrate and to end the series on the a high note.
I've loved the Heart of the Rockies series from the get-go and while it's finally coming to an end, it leaves a lot of good memories along with love stories that will continue to live on and can be re-read again over the years. Sawyer and Ruby walk down the line but they do encounter issues along the way, but these two remain strong in the face of everything that life throws their way. I really liked how everything played out for them, and then we've got the other couples who each have their tidbits of good news to share with everyone else. With the series now finished, I can't wait to see what Sara Richardson will be giving readers next. She's proven to be more than capable of weaving beautiful stories about love, family, and friendship, as evidenced by her Heart of the Rockies books. I'm happily giving Rocky Mountain Wedding five stars. ♥
