Review: Marry Screw Kill by Liv Morris

Note: This ARC was provided by TRSoR Promotions in exchange for an honest review.

Marry Screw Kill is a standalone erotic romance novel from author Liv Morris and is about Harlow Masters, a young woman who loses the most important person in her life--her mother--and ends up in the hospital under the care of a doctor named James Elliott. Within months, she's not only living under his roof but is engaged to be married to him. Then everything changes when James's nephew, Sinclair Elliott, stays with them. Harlow is caught between two very different men--one who has been there to take care of her and provide her with everything she may need and the other who cares for her and is the epitome of everything she wants. There are three players in this story, but there is no love triangle nor any cheating.

From the moment I read the blurb, I knew this was going to be an intriguing story, but it also surprised me in terms of the directions it chose to go to. Harlow and James's relationship was questionable from the get-go, but the twists and turns that were revealed along the way were unexpected, at least as far as I was concerned. I was expecting more dark humor than there actually was in the story, but then I based that expectation off of the blurb, and the darkness was more about the story in general and not the humor. Everything was going pretty well with the story until I got close to the end, which turned out to be a tad disappointing because it just seemed a bit contrived. Still, Marry Screw Kill was a good four-starred read. ♥
