Review: Trust Me If You Dare by L.B. Gregg (Romano & Albright #2)

Caesar Romano has left behind the world of art galleries and is enjoying partnering up with his best friend on their catering business. He doesn't have much to complain about as far as his personal life is concerned either, happily involved with private detective Dan Albright. Then Caesar is roped into helping out an event in the home of his now-out ex-boyfriend slash television actor, where he finds a hot German daytime soap star in hiding with a penchant for outrageous flirting and who just happens to be Dan's latest client. When his two worlds collide, Caesar finds himself a target of an overzealous paparazzo and, yet again, a magnet for the people that Dan is currently keeping his eye on. With so much going on, Caesar and Dan find all kinds of ways to connect. It's just another couple of days in the lives of Romano and Albright.

Trust Me If You Dare is the second book in author L.B. Gregg's witty M/M romantic suspense series entitled Romano & Albright and takes place a couple of months after the events in the first book, Catch Me If You Can. Things are still hot and heavy between main characters Caesar Romano and Dan Albright, but Caesar is now on an all-new career path, one that he shares with his best friend Poppy McNamara. Dan, on the other hand, is still a private detective, and while you wouldn't think it were possible for their professional lives to criss-cross yet again, they do and it results in Caesar trying--and failing--to remind himself that Dan's the one with the training when it comes to pursuing suspicious individuals on the move. The usual suspects, aka supporting cast, are still around, but the addition of Gunter Heidelbach was a plus.

I mentioned in my review for book one that Caesar and Dan were in the running to be on my list of all-time favorite M/M couples. Well, book two cinched it. These two had me grinning like the lovesick fangirl that I now am with their sometimes sexy and often snarky exchanges. I love how they're able to just make time for each other, regardless of their circumstances. It's like neither wants the connection to rest, even for a day. The story here is just as fun-filled as its predecessor and you can't help but wonder how the heck Caesar ends up in the sticky situations he gets into. The Gunter story line was original and actually had me thinking why someone would be motivated to do what he did and if there are any actual actors in the same boat. I recommend you read the books in order to fully enjoy them. 4.5 stars go to Trust Me If You Dare. ♥
