Review: Found in Bliss by Lexi Blake writing as Sophie Oak (Nights in Bliss #5)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author.

It's only been a couple or so weeks since we were last in Bliss, but heck, I'm not crazy enough to refuse a return to this quirky Colorado town where three tends to be better than two (except in Stef and Jen Talbot's case!). Twenty-eight-year-old Alexei Markov may have once been a mob enforcer, but he had his reasons for being on the wrong side of the law and is making amends by cooperating with law enforcement. Believing that his part was finally over and done with, he makes his way back to the place where he left his heart: Bliss, Colorado and he hopes to woo the woman who owns it--forty-year-old divorcee Holly Lang. Alexei knows, however, that there's another man who's fallen for Holly as much ass he has, and that's none other than the quiet yet cranky town doctor. He's also aware of the secrets that thirty-seven-year-old Caleb Burke is keeping, but Alexei has no intention of using all of that to blackmail the man. No, what Alexei wants is to find a way for him and for Caleb to work together in making Holly theirs. He's more than willing to share, but when trouble comes to Bliss, will he be as willing to kill for them?

Found in Bliss has officially become my second favorite read in Lexi Blake's Nights in Bliss series! I liked getting to know Holly, Alexei, and Caleb even better here, although Alexei did have somewhat of an advantage given that he was featured rather prominently in One to Keep. Okay, I admit it: I'm totally on Team Alexei, and yes, I'm quite aware that these three are in a relationship of equal footing TOGETHER, but hey, I've adored Alexei since he was introduced two books ago, so the only person to blame here is Lexi Blake for creating an adoration-worthy main character like Alexei. That being said, I had a far better appreciation for Caleb the more his layers were peeled back. There was no denying that he had very strong feelings for Holly, but it was actually Alexei who gave him the push that he desperately needed in order to take what he wanted and that was basically a relationship with the woman he'd fallen for. And Holly? Well, the woman finally got her confidence back and good for her! I know the next book isn't till March 2019, but that may give me enough time for a series re-read! 4.5 stars for Found in Bliss.
