Review: "Tall, Tatted, and Tempting" by Tammy Falkner (Reed Brothers #1)

Note: This ebook was provided by Night Shift Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

When most women look at Logan Reed, they usually notice three things about him: he's tall, tatted, and tempting, and while the beautiful girl who enters his family's tattoo shop isn't blind, she's not like most women in that she isn't going to fall all over herself for him. Unfortunately for Logan, his usual M.O. doesn't fly with the girl and she repays his advances with a punch to the nose. This girl has absolutely captured his attention and he wants to get to know her in every way possible. But the girl who calls herself Kit isn't prepared nor willing to share her secrets with Logan, no matter how much she wishes she could.

Logan may be deaf but he's able to take note of things about other people that are often missed. He knows Kit's keeping things from him and anyone else she encounters and he's hoping that by sharing his own secret--the fact that he can still speak--will encourage her to open up more. In the short amount of time they're together, they work their way into each other's hearts. Kit knows she can trust Logan with her life and she's become a part of his family, forging friendships with his brothers, especially Matt. When Matt's health takes a turn for the worse, Kit makes the decision that may cost her her freedom and Logan's love.

Tall, Tatted, and Tempting is the first book in the highly popular and well-loved Reed Brothers series by award-winning author Tammy Falkner. Not only has it been on my TBR list for over a year but I downloaded it from Amazon when it was offered for free since April 2014. Don't ask me why I waited this long or why I had to see it on NetGalley and request for it there before actually reading it. I have no excuse. You may now feel free to hiss and boo me. I deserve it. This book was way more than I expected and I found myself falling for Logan and Kit and their offbeat love story (the "sexy" version, naturally).

I loved that this was a lighthearted read and the whole Reed brood was a likable lot and it seemed as if Kit simply fit in with the rest of them, like she was a missing piece just waiting to be found. Logan is true book boyfriend material, what with his bad boy looks but good guy heart and intentions. The book is about falling in love for the first time, the unequaled love for family, and the sacrifices you're willing to make for those you care about the most, all themes I enjoy reading about. Tall, Tatted, and Tempting does end in a cliffhanger of sorts but I'm still going to give it five stars because, in the end, that's what it deserves. ♥

Date Read: 24 April 2015
