Review: Seducing the Princess by Diane Alberts (Shillings Agency #3)

Being assigned to be the bodyguard of a royal princess was something former Marine Gordon Waybrook was not exactly looking forward to. He envisioned her as some spoiled and overly pampered diva with a tiara, and he's more than prepared to dislike her. Then he meets Isabelle VanGuard in person and sees a side to her that's contrary to the picture in his head. But as refreshing his discovery may be, Isabelle slips into the role of princess too often, mainly because that's how it has to be. She's been trained all her life to act, speak, and think a certain way, including putting what's best for her country ahead of her own needs and wants. So, while she may not be thrilled over the idea of marrying a prince that she isn't in love with, she'll do what she has to. But one night with Gordon changes things. He makes her feel more than she's ever felt with anyone else before, and they quickly realize that one night isn't enough for either of them. A princess falling for her hot bodyguard is the stuff fairy tales are made of...but Isabelle's life is no fairy tale.

Seducing the Princess is the third book in the contemporary romance series from bestselling author Diane Alberts entitled Shillings Agency. Royalty falling for a commoner can no longer be consider fairy tales since it's happened quite a number of times in real life already, but when that commoner just happens to be a foreign princess's American bodyguard, then things definitely begin to become interesting. Gordon Waybrook and Isabelle VanGuard hit it off, but there are two sides to Isabelle--the princess who puts duty ahead of all else and the woman who wants to explore what being with someone like Gordon could be like. With Isabelle being the actual future monarch of her nation, the odds are definitely far more stacked against the two of them, but I loved how Gordon wanted Isabelle to simply allow herself to feel and experience things and make her own choices, without having everyone else dictate upon her. Seducing the Princess was a modern day fairy tale with one hearty helping of naughtiness front and center. Four stars! ♥
