Review: How to Lose a Bachelor by Anna Banks
Note: This ARC was provided by Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review.
Rochelle Ransom auditions to become part of a reality dating show, not to find the man of her dreams, but to win the prize money that she intends to donate to a women's shelter. She wants to win and she's ready to do her best to gain the bachelor's attention. When she discovers that the bachelor is none other than the very same guy who broke her heart years ago, Rochelle is ready to leave the show. But with the added monetary incentive that the producer offers whether or not she makes it all the way to the end when he realizes the drama the pairing will offer, Rochelle accepts and does everything in her power to make sure that her ex votes her off. And while Grant Drake may have felt Rochelle should be out in the beginning, now he's ready to exact his own revenge because Rochelle's heart wasn't the only one that broke years ago.
How to Lose a Bachelor is a standalone contemporary romance from bestselling author Anna Banks and is a funny and lighthearted second chance love story between Rochelle Ransom and Grant Drake. The antics that these two main characters get into as they play a game of one-upmanship on the dating show they're both on is the stuff rom-com movies are made of and it's easy to picture each scenario in your head and laugh. Of course, with that much animosity directed at each other, it's also clear that it's fueled by deeper feelings that were never fully resolved or erased even after their relationship ended years ago. These two seriously need better communication with one another, especially since they have trust issues. How to Lose a Bachelor is my very first Anna Banks read and it definitely won't be the last. I'm giving it four stars. ♥
