Review: Heath by Melissa Foster (Wild Boys After Dark #2)

Note: This ARC was provided by Tasty Book Tours in exchange for an honest review.

They may have exchanged first names but their time together was supposed to nothing more than a one-night stand. But the morning after was filled with thoughts of one another and when the second time Dr. Heath Wild and Ally Jenner are in bed doesn't sate their needs, he does something that surprises both of them: he asks for her number. Sexy text messages and lustful phone conversations open the door to Heath and Ally learning more about each other and the no-strings-attached hook-up evolves into something that neither of them expected or was looking for. They've both been cheated on before and commitment is a concept they thought they left behind in the past, but there's no denying that what they're feeling surpasses anything else they've ever experienced before. The question is: Are they prepared to fall in love?

Heath is book number in the Wild Boys After Dark erotic romance series from bestselling author Melissa Foster and here we have the eldest among the Wild brothers and his penchant for one-night stands leads him to a woman who seems more than okay with the idea but it ends up becoming more than they thought possible. I really liked Heath Wild because the man came off as someone who was mild-mannered and the epitome of all things nice, but whenever he was with Ally Jenner, that naughtier and dirtier side of him would come out to play. This was nothing like the romantic suspense story that was in the first book, but that's one of the things I loved about it. This was a love story that began as a simple hook-up, but then there are no set rules when it comes to falling in love and meeting the person you're destined to be with.

Heath and Ally were perfect for each other and I loved how Ally was this woman who had a zest for life and knew what she wanted and went after it, yet she was protective of her heart and was more careful when it came to relationships. This book had that ideal balance of sweet and steamy and I hate to admit that I played favorites, but Heath and Ally are my favorite couple in the series, so yes, theirs also happens to be my favorite story. Aside from the love story between the two main characters, the focus on the Wild brothers love for their mother, the memory of their father, and each other is the prevailing driving force all throughout the series, and I'm a sucker when it comes to men who aren't afraid to show how much they love their parents and each other. Heath is a swoon-worthy romance that I'm happily giving five stars to. ♥
