Review: Catch Me by Jennifer Probst (Steele Brothers #1)

Note: This ARC was provided by InkSlinger PR in exchange for an honest review.

When a friend of his hands him a card with the name "FANTA-C" and a phone number printed on it, Rick Steele isn't quite sure what to make of it. He's not looking for a hooker or escort service, but his friend insists that FANTA-C will give him neither of the two. What Rick will get is a woman that matches his requirements for one night of fantasies being fulfilled, just like Rick will end up fulfilling his date's fantasies. When he meets Tara Denton, he's immediately drawn to the petite woman who doesn't seem to recognize her own beauty. She's been physically and emotionally abused by an ex-boyfriend, but now she's ready to break free from her past and he's happy to help her in a way he knows best. Their night together is unforgettable and Rick wants much more with Tara but she isn't quite ready to let him catch her...yet.

Catch Me is the first novella in the Steele Brothers series from bestselling author Jennifer Probst and is a new edition of a February 2012 release under a different publisher and as part of a multi-authored series. I really liked this story of Rick Steele and Tara Denton--a man who looked like a Norse god and a woman who thought herself an ugly duckling of sorts. He made her not just look at herself with new eyes but encouraged her to accept that was always there and was never diminished by her scars or the trauma of abuse. Their FANTA-C scenes are hot but there's a tenderness that emanates from Rick when it comes to this woman who's awakened a part of him that he thought was long dead. This was a quick read (heck, I read all four books in the series in one go) but Catch Me is a 4.5-star erotic romance with a sweet story. ♥

Date Read: 19 November 2015
