Audiobook Review: Changing Lines by RJ Scott & V.L. Locey, narrated by Sean Crisden (Harrisburg Railers #1)

Note: The audiobook was provided by the authors via Signal Boost Promotions. I originally read Changing Lines a little over a year ago, having been a fan of both M/M hockey romances and RJ Scott's, I was both curious to see how she would do with the sub-genre and and how her new writing partnership with V.L. Locey would read like. This was the story of twenty-two-year-old Tennant Rowe, a talented hockey player who's proud of his fellow hockey-playing brothers but would love to know what it's like to be known for his own achievements on the ice. Being as young as he is, he also has to contend with teammates who have far more experience than him, making them more of the go-to than Ten. So when an opportunity to be traded is floated, he decides this could be a blessing in disguise. Sure, the Harrisburg Railers are an expansion team but they're in the process of making a name for themselves separate from the two more popular teams in their home state of Pennsylvania.

We return to Castle Beach with the release of the second book in Marquita Valentine's Kings of Castle Beach series entitled Big Talking Man . Crushing on your brother's best friend is nothing new. Heck, falling in love with him isn't much of a shocker either. But when he becomes your biggest secret and part of the reason for your biggest regret? Well, Quinn King is still dealing with the aftermath. As if falling for her older brother's friend wasn't complicated enough, the fact that he's none other than the  Tate Prescott, Hollywood's hottest property, whether as a then-actor and now a sought-after director, adds extra layers of complications that required additional stealth on both the parts of Quinn and Tate. Theirs wasn't a fling; Tate and Quinn truly loved each other, but keeping their relationship as far away from gossip rags and tabloids was a necessary

Review: If We Fall by Nina Lane (What If #1)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via InkSlinger PR. “I loved you before we were even born.” He pressed his face to my hair. “I'd never leave you, not if I didn't have to. You will always be my best friend, and wherever you are in the world, whatever happens, please believe all I ever want is for you to be safe and happy. I'll do anything for you except stay. Anytime, anywhere, for as long as we live. Anything. Remember that.” He detached himself from me slowly, bent to kiss my check, and whispered, “I love you, my Josie Bird.” Oh. My. God!!! This book! That ending! GAH!!! It is so not fair that Nina Lane lulls me into complacency only to leave me agog with a cliffhanger ending of epic proportions. Okay, maybe it's not about fairness, plus I pretty much had a feeling readers would get a cliffy simply because her What If series is a duet, and the first book usually ends in a cliffy. But wow, here I am, a whole lot of time later
