Review: Stitch by L. Wilder (Satan's Fury MC #2)

Stitch is the second novel in the Satan's Fury MC series from bestselling author L. Wilder and is all about the club's Enforcer, Stitch, and how a single mother and her young son bring out a side of him he thought was long dead and buried. For too many years, young Griffin experienced increasingly violent forms of abuse at the hands of his grandfather. When it got too much, he upped and left, choosing to try and survive on the streets than wind up dead. Hoping that his younger sister wouldn't have to endure what he did, Griff enlists in the military, which ends ups giving him more scars to add on to the ones his grandfather gave him. But all those years of harm and violence have made him into the man he is today. He's Satan's Fury's Enforcer and he's the best at what he does, having no qualms in doing whatever is necessary to make sure his brothers and those who matter most are kept safe and nowhere near any harm.

I really enjoyed Stitch's story. Meeting Wren Mathis and her son Wyatt felt like kismet, and when Stitch sees signs of abuse on the young boy, he can't help but delve deeper into their history. Knowing what he does, Stitch keeps a watchful eye on mother and son, but his feelings for Wren go beyond merely wanting to protect her. She stirred within him his more humane side and it's that protective and caring Griff that she gets to know. When she discovers what just a bit of what he's done for the club, she finds it difficult to reconcile the seemingly two very different men. If there were any three people who were meant to be a family, it would have to be Griff slash Stitch, Wren, and Wyatt. All three of them are survivors and they simply fit as a family. That epilogue though, had me grinning because it was a whole unexpected side to the Enforcer that showed what a difference having Wren and Wyatt in his life made. Stitch receives four stars. ♥
