Review: Embrace Me by Ann Marie Walker & Amy K. Rogers (Chasing Fire #3.5)
Note: This ARC was provided by Berkley Publishing Group in exchange for an honest review.
The writing duo of Ann Marie Walker and Amy K. Rogers are back with a novella in their Chasing Fire series. Hudson Chase and Alessandra Sinclair finally got their long-awaited happy ending in the original trilogy--Remind Me, Release Me, and Reclaim Me--and now they get the "ever-after" with Embrace Me. It was a decade-long wait for Hudson and Allie to become Mr. and Mrs. Chase. Their intimate wedding in the barn was just for the two of them. Now, they get to share the moment with those closest to them, but no one ever said planning a wedding was easy and Allie's beginning to feel the stress. Hudson wants his wife to remember their second wedding for all the right reasons, and if it means having to take the reins, he's more than willing. And after the ceremony, Allie is in for a honeymoon that'll surpass all of her fantasies...
Reading about Hudson and Allie was fun, especially with this being a far more enjoyable experience for both of them. These two have come so far after everything they went through during their ten years apart and all the challenges they had to endure when their paths crossed once again. Having Nick Chase and Harper Hayes, Hudson's younger brother and Allie's best friend, respectively, provided some comic relief, and I hope they get their story told sometime in the future, because I certainly wouldn't mind reading about how Chase overcame his demons and how he and Harper found love together. Fans of the Chasing Fire series will want to check this novella out, and for those who are new to the series, I'm highly recommending you read the three full-length novels before reading Embrace Me, which gets four stars. ♥
