Review: Angel's Share by Layla Reyne (Agents Irish & Whiskey #4)

Aidan Talley and Jameson Walker are back! Angel's Share is the fourth novel and the sixth release in the Agents Irish & Whiskey series from Layla Reyne, and it's the same series that introduced the world to Reyne's writing. The first three novels and a companion novella were originally published by Carina Press, but the author has reclaimed her rights over these books and has re-published them. Now, she's given her beloved main characters a new happily-ever-after that fans of the series like me will appreciate.

It's been a little over seven years since Aidan Talley and Jameson Walker became partners with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and having their professional relationship transition into something more soon thereafter. Now, they've been married for five years and life has been good. Aidan is the Special Agent in Charge of the San Francisco field office and Jamie is an assistant coach with the St. Mary's men's basketball team. But life is about to get even more intriguing when Aidan's past unexpectedly resurfaces.

There are just some characters who stay with you, and Aidan and Jaime are two of the more notable ones. It was in early 2017 when I first read Single Malt, and I was immediately hooked, needing to know where Aidan and Jaime's journey would ultimately take them. I re-read the previously released books before diving into this newest one, and I loved re-experiencing everything they went through, which is what made seeing how far they've come in Angel's Share such a satisfying and rewarding thrill. Five stars.

Review: Him by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy (Him #1)

Four years' worth of meaningless sexual encounters flash through my head as I break the kiss and slide down his body again. All those guys I hooked up with in the past...they're a blur.
