Review: Make Me Stay by Annabeth Albert (Safe Harbor #2)

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author.

Make Me Stay is the second book in the Safe Harbor series from Annabeth Albert, but while it has a different couple's romance, it does have the continuing story arc regarding a cold case that isn't so cold anymore. In short, I highly recommend that you read the series starter, Bring Me Home, before diving into this second book. After all, the mystery aspect of the series is just as intriguing as the romance is enticing, if I do say so myself.

The dynamic between the main characters in Make Me Stay was one of my favorite things about the book. Holden Justice and Callum Phillips had the kind of push and pull that built up anticipation and heightened expectation as to how they would act on the wild attraction between them AND how they would resolve the fact that Holden lived in Safe Harbor and Cal was someone who went where the job took him and never really had a place to call "home". I'm happy to say that Annabeth Albert did not disappoint, delivering a great story for these two while leaving readers eagerly counting the days until the last book. 4.5 stars for Make Me Stay!
