Review: Forced Proximity by Lani Lynn Vale (Content Advisory #7)
Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Give Me Books Promotions.
Seven books in, and I'm still enjoying the heck out of the Content Advisory series, thanks in large part to Lani Lynn Vale offering up highly entertaining stories and main characters you become emotionally invested in from cover to cover. In Forced Proximity, I do believe that I've found my favorite book in the series (so far, what with one final book in the offing). If you've been following the series, you may recall Finnian Reins, aka Apollo, making his presence known in the earlier releases. I'm not quite sure how old he is, but I'm guessing he's in his mid- to late thirties. He's a master hacker who also happens to be a state representative. A proud member of the Truth Tellers, the men who make up the motorcycle club and their women and children are his family. They have stayed by his side as he's tried to move forward after the sudden loss of his son, Tavi, but he's merely wading through life, uninterested in much of anything...until he meets Drusilla Rossi, a thirty-two-year-old charge nurse at Dallas Memorial. Could a bit of spying, a hint of hacking, a plane crash, and a couple of tornadoes be the start of their true love story?
Talk about a whirlwind of a beginning to a romance! Apollo and Dru, aka her Finnian and his Silla, were obsessed with each other from the get-go, and there was no force of nature or mentally unstable human that could get in the way of these two making their way to their happily-ever-after. I was swept up in their story from the moment she noticed him as he was listening to a lobbyist who just happened to be the fiancé of her older sister. Everything else that followed soon thereafter was an intriguing mix of life-altering events that forged and fortified their bond. These two not only deserved their HEA, but they were meant to have it together. Forced Proximity is the penultimate Content Advisory book and gets five stars.
