Review: Unstoppable Love by Stacey Lynn (The Kelley Family #2)

Unstoppable Love is the second novel in the Kelley Family series from Stacey Lynn, and if you've read the first book, then there's no way you could have forgotten Cameron Kelley, twin brother of Caleb, the former being the football player and the latter the hockey player. With Caleb finding love, now it's his twin's turn. Unfortunately for Cameron, he's got his work cut out for him if he hopes to convince the only girl--now a woman--he's ever loved that she's the only big dream he's ever wanted to truly become reality.

Ava Decker, twenty-four and a social media coordinator, has simple dreams; Cameron Kelly, twenty-six and a quarterback for the Colorado Mountaineers, is no dream. Not anymore. He's been Ava's living, breathing nightmare for the past eight years. Their interactions when he's back in their town of New Haven, Colorado are torturous. He pokes and prods and teases and ticks her off. But Ava has no idea that Cam, the boy who broke and still owns her heart, has been keeping something secret. When the truth comes out, it may either permanently cut the frayed ties between them or restart their unstoppable love.

Goodness, but these two had my heart clenching in my chest more times than I can count. That same heart broke for sixteen-year-old Ava, and goodness, there was a lot of righteous indignation going on when twenty-four-year-old Ava learned that Cameron had never forgotten what happened eight years prior. I loved that there was groveling involved and that there wasn't this mad rush to forgive and forget. I'm a sucker for hard-fought happily-ever-afters, and that's what we get with Ava and Cameron's story. There was an unexpected twist that gave me pause, and I think there was something about it that had me less a fan of it as a plot point. Other than that, Unstoppable Love was a emotional four-starred read.
