Review: Get Frosted by Amy Aislin (Christmas Falls #3)

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via Neon Rainbow ARC Reviews.

Get Frosted by Amy Aislin is the third book in the multi-author Christmas Falls series. This is a standalone with some major falling-for-your-best-friend's-sibling (or alternatively, falling-for-your-sibling's-best-friend) feels with a hint of enemies-to-lovers. Thirty-one-year-old Mikhail Gilmore always knew what his post-retirement plans entailed--returning to his hometown of Christmas Falls and managing the bar his family owned alongside his older brother, Josh. Mik also knew being back home would mean crossing paths with Josh's best friend and former teammate, Rudolph Snow. The same Rudy that Mik had a feud with while they were both playing professional hockey. The thirty-two-year-old also happens to be the manager of a rival bar in Christmas Falls. Now, they're forced to team up and plan a surprise party for someone special. Will spending more time together help Mik realize what's been right in front of him before it's too late?

I'm relishing all these holiday romances that are landing in my Kindle Fire! Amy Aislin's contribution to the Christmas Falls series works well as a standalone, with the story truly focused on the main characters, Mik and Rudy. I appreciated that there wasn't a lot of drama or angst, which is weird for me to say, considering how much of an angst addict I tend to be. But with us being in these more holiday-filled months, and I guess with everything going on in my life and in the world, I want to be turning the pages to lighter fare. Get Frosted was exactly that, and I enjoyed the heck out of it. I'm giving it four stars.
