Review: Two Guys by L.P. Lovell & Stevie J. Cole (The Game #2)

Note: This ARC was provided by the authors in exchange for an honest review.

Two Guys is the second novella in the seven-part series entitled The Game penned by the writing duo of L.P. Lovell and Stevie J. Cole, and it picks up where the series starter, One Contract, left off. Ella Taylor is in the second day of her written contract with business associates Tobias Benton and Preston Lucas. She's agreed to their demands, but she's beginning to find it difficult to control herself from asking some necessary questions. She also wonder what it is that's actually going on between the two men, who appear to be more than just business partners. The second game she's made to play forces her to make a choice, but it's as if she never really had much of one to begin with. Just how far will Ella allow herself to be pushed for two million dollars and what lengths will Tobias and Preston go to in order to push Ella to see exactly what she's made of and if their lamb is equipped to win every single game?

I'm torn between wanting to knock Tobias's and Preston's heads together in frustration and wanting to shake Ella so that she realizes she's getting closer and closer to the point of no return. I get why she still continues to feel so drawn to the two manipulative men, and that's exactly what they are: manipulative. Like I mentioned in my review for the first book, I have this feeling that there's a puppet master or an unknown player in this whole game. Now I'm wondering if Preston actually knows or if it's just Tobias. Between the two men, Preston may seem like the one who's more...ummm...well, "affectionate" is the wrong word. Let's call it "receptive" when it comes to Ella, but there are comments made that make it seem that Tobias is the one who's into Ella more than Preston. Gah, this book has the conspiracy theorist in me working overtime! I need book three today! I'm giving Two Guys four stars. ♥
