Review: Marrying Emily by Susan Stoker (Delta Force Heroes #4)

With their nearest and dearest attending the wedding, it’s definitely going to be an affair to remember…but come reception, what makes the whole event memorable isn’t limited to the vows exchanged, the company kept, and the food eaten. It’s the sudden appearance of uninvited—and very unwanted—guests that have Cormac, the other members of the Delta Force, as well as their SEAL buddies ready to pounce. However, in order to protect their families, these men will have to rely on a bit of patience, timing, and help from someone in the wedding party. A small, Army-loving someone.

Marrying Emily is the fourth book in bestselling author Susan Stoker’s Delta Force Heroes series. Fletch and Emily’s love story was told in the second book, Rescuing Emily, and this newer but shorter read is like an extended epilogue of sorts. Not only do we get the Fletcher-Grant nuptials, but we’ve got ourselves a suspenseful and later action-packed climax to the story. All the Deltas were around and those who had women already attached to them in one form or another were there as well, so they definitely added to the fun factor. I’ve never read the author’s other series, so I wasn’t familiar with the SEALs, but now I’m curious, though it’s another Delta I’m hoping gets his own story told soon: Dane “Fish” Munroe. Marrying Emily receives 4.5 out of five stars. ♥

Review: The Room Mate by Kendall Ryan (Roommates #1)

I do believe I've found myself a new book boyfriend to drool, erm, swoon over in Cannon Roth, male main character in bestselling author Kendall Ryan's Roommates series starter, The Room Mate . This had a familiar romance trope--falling-for-your-best-friend's-sibling--and yet I didn't find it boring or tiresome in any way. This has both heart and heat as well as lighthearted humor along with a bit of heart-tugging angst and it's headlined by a couple of main characters that I was totally smitten with from the moment Paige got a pretty good idea of just how much her best friend's younger brother Cannon had grown up from the nerdy boy who followed them around like a puppy when they were kids.
