Review: Threaded Lies by K. Bromberg (Tangled Hearts #2)

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the Bramble.

Whhhhhyyyyy?! I foolishly went into Threaded Lies thinking everything would get wrapped it with a pretty bow, but nope! It ended in another cliffhanger! Gah! I seem to keep making assumptions when it comes to the Tangled Hearts series, and I know, I know--don't assume because it makes a you-know-what out of you and me. Sigh. I should have known better, especially considering I had zero idea that Twisted Knight was actually a series starter--meaning I didn't know that there was a series in the first place--and now, here I am believing that Holden Knight and Rowan Rothschild would get their happily-ever-after only to be proven wrong. Again. Sigh. In short, there is a third book in the offing. And the wait begins...

While waiting, let me share my thoughts on the second installment to Rowan and Holden's story, and goodness, these two now all too well how communication issues can lead to heartache. If I could have sat down and mediated just so they can skip over all of that, I would have, because it's clear that they fell in love and are getting in their own way to what should be a future spent together. They frustrated me at times, but that's because I'm emotionally invested in their story. But their HEA is still on hold, and knowing K. Bromberg, she's going to make the wait worthwhile for the third, and, dare I hope, final book in this enemies-to-lovers romance saga. The tension and anticipation were strong in Threaded Lies, which gets four stars.
