Review: Hashtag Holidate by Lucy Lennox

'Tis the season for holiday romances, and Lucy Lennox is jumping into the festive fray with a new standalone set in a familiar location. Hashtag Holidate is a grumpy/sunshine romance with Legacy, Montana as its backdrop. Yup, that town named Legacy, and it's newest visitor is thirty-two-year-old Adrian Hayes, a luxury lifestyle influencer from New York with over a million followers. With hopes to snagging the prestigious gig of becoming a clothing sponsor's spokesmodel, Adrian knows that his idea of having twelve dates over the span of the three weeks he's in Legacy need to be picture-perfect. With his usual videographer has a medical emergency, Adrian desperately needs someone to step in, and he finds the perfect candidate in the gorgeous grump who isn't exactly thrilled by the influencer's proposal.

Maddox Sullivan may know his way around his family-owned hardware store, but he's got a gift when it comes to wielding his camera. And while the grumpy guy isn't a fan of Adrian's, Maddox needs the money to help the hardware store stay afloat as well as adding to his younger sister's college fund. But when guys start canceling, Maddox saves the day (date?!) by reluctantly moving from the back to the front of the camera. Both men just need to keep their eyes on their respective prizes and not get distracted by each other. However, could some well-meaning, small-town matchmaking and undeniable chemistry have these two opposites realize that their Legacy romance isn't merely for the holiday season?

It goes without saying that I love grumpy/sunshine romances, but add in the elements of a small town AND the holidays? Let's just say that I had a perma-grin for most of this book! Whether you're new to Lucy Lennox's writing or to her books set in Legacy, Montana, i.e. the Made Marian and Made Marian Legacy series, Hashtag Holidate is a wonderfully heartwarming read that serves as the perfect bit of literary entertainment while wrapped up in comfy blanket. Adrian and Maddox's story had that great balance of heart and heat, and the supporting characters were like tinsel, adding to a fantastic holidate. Five stars!
