A new release from Lani Lynn Vale in her Content Advisory series means I'm here for all the drama--Other Woman Drama, that is. Now, if you've read Vale's work, you know that she packs those stories of hers with drama AND comedy, plus all the romance you can handle. Is there actually another woman involved? Actually, yes, there is because Piers Webb is in a relationship at the beginning of his story with Silver Donahue. Forty-three-year-old Piers is the president of the Truth Tellers motorcycle club, has the road name "Webber", owns several garages, and is a single father to his seventeen-year-old daughter Eedie. Silver--whose age I'm guessing to be about twenty-five since there was a mention of it being seven years yet her credit, and that of her twin sister, Aella's, had not been cleared yet--works in the IT department of the local hospital and has had a thing for Piers ever since they met. However, while Silver loves Piers, the feeling is far from mutual, or at least that's what she believes until circumstances finally force his hand.
It may have taken Piers a good, long while to get his behind in gear and own up to his feelings for Silver, but he certainly made up for it once he finally did. I loved the fact that Silver was a woman who spoke her mind and didn't shy away from whatever life threw her way. She certainly didn't have it easy, not when she had the parents that she did, but she was resilient and mustered up a smile even when things weren't going her way. There were definitely times wherein I felt like Piers needed a smack upside the head, but he turned out to be a far better guy than I initially gave him credit for. There are the over-the-top moments, as to be expected, but at this point in my Lani Lynn Vale reading journey, I take them as they are and they become part and parcel of what makes her books entertaining. I read Other Woman Drama in one sitting, and I can safely say that Content Advisory is fast becoming my favorite LLV series. I'm giving this fourth book 4.5 stars, and I'm already counting the days until the next novel is released.
