Review: The Path to Loving Him by Meghan Quinn (Almond Bay #3)

The way I adored Hattie Rowley and Hayes Farrow's hate-to-love story and the reason I cherished Aubree Rowley and Wyatt Preston's marriage-of-convenience romance led me on the path to loving Ryland Rowley and Gabriel Brinkman's enemies-to-lovers happily-ever-after. See what I did there? Yeah, I'm a bit of a sappy sucker every time Meghan Quinn takes readers to her fictional California town of Almond Bay. Each book has chronicled the three living Rowley siblings--Ryland, Aubree, and Hattie--finding love and re-establishing closer ties as a family, but the series has also highlighted how Cassidy's, the second oldest sibling, memory and legacy and their love for her daughter, MacKenzie, keep them together and are part of what gives them all purpose while creating their own lives and relishing full-fledged journeys.

The Path to Loving Him is the third novel in Meghan Quinn's Almond Bay series, and I had a sneaking suspicion that Ryland's book would be the one that would have me shedding a tear or two--and I was right. How could I not love this man who was such a pillar of support for his sisters and was more father than uncle to little Mac? He put the females in his life first, but then Gabby came along and she made him see that he deserved to have his own happily-ever-after as well. I loved the push and pull between these two, and while they were truly quite stubborn, having them fight for each other rather than with each other made this such a satisfyingly wonderful read. And that epilogue? Gah! TEARS (of joy, of course)! The Rowleys are all coupled up, but dare I hope that there could still be another return to Almond Bay (hint, Abel, hint)? I've got my fingers crossed while handing five stars to Ry, Gabby, and Mac!
