Review: Falling for Mr. Bad by Melissa Foster (The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls #11)

In Falling for Mr. Bad, Melissa Foster offers readers a crossover novel from her Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls series and her Bad Boys After Dark world. This is Sable Montgomery and Kane Bad's story, and suffice it to say, Kane is bad in all the best ways possible. That being said, Sable is not some shrinking violet, and boy, oh boy, but how she gives Kane a run for his money with her sass and confidence. She's the twenty-nine-year-old small town singer-songwriter who owns a garage and likes her life the way it is; he's the thirty-eight-year-old self-made billionaire who's taken over as his brother's band's manager. When Kane heads to Oak Falls to fulfill a promise his brother made to his now-fiancĂ©e, Kane is intrigued by the woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind nor share her music, but isn't thrilled about her band going on tour with Johnny Bad's. Convincing Sable to sign on and join the tour, however, may prove to be easier than convincing himself that he isn't falling for this beautiful, headstrong woman.

Big Daddy Kane and his Panthera blazed one heck of a sizzling trail with their romance! These two butted heads and pushed each other's buttons, and it was barely disguised foreplay because it was clear from the get-go that they had this undeniable connection. I loved seeing the softer side of both Kane and Sable, what with these two having notable protective streaks when it came to family and those who were nearest and dearest to them. Kane and Sable had walls around them individually, so you can imagine how resistant they were to acknowledging not only the lustful thoughts they had in the beginning, but all the more the much deeper feelings and emotions they had developed in their time together. It took a bit for me to warm up to Kane, but once I did, I saw that this man's heart was patient and kind and that he was willing to go above and beyond. As for Sable, once that hard outer layer of hers cracked, I admired her love for and loyalty to her family and cheered her on as she put her wants and needs first for a change. Yes, I admit it: I fell for Mr. Bad and his sass-slinging cowgirl. Five stars go to Falling for Mr. Bad.

Side note: I REALLY hope Tuck gets a book because the guy so deserves an HEA. Paging Melissa Foster...
