Review: Faking Cinderella by Pippa Grant (Small Town Sisterhood #3)

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author.

Faking Cinderella is the third Small Town Sisterhood novel, and while I've come to expect Pippa Grant's couples to make me laugh and fall in love in love alongside them, Margot Merriweather-Brown and Rhys O'Malley were in a class all their own. These two were like a pair of lightning rods in a bottle, distinct from many main characters that I've come across in the slew of books I've read this first quarter of 2026. She's a thirty-one-year-old billionaire heiress and the future CEO of Aurora Gardens, a global hotel conglomerate; he's a thirty-four-year-old security specialist with hopes of making a success of his own security business. Margot has a younger sister named Daphne (yes, that Daphne from The Grumpiest Billionaire, the second book in the Small Town Sisterhood series), but she's recently discovered that she has three half-brothers who are triplets living in Snaggletooth Creek, California. She decides it's time to not just meet them, but to spend time with Decker, Jack, and Lucky Sullivan and get to know them. However, she introduces herself as Margie Johnson, a housekeeper now at the luxury resort in town. Decker calls in his friend, Rhys, in hopes of getting a better read on his new sister. Margot has reasons for keeping secrets; the question is, will Rhys keep them for her when he figures out who she really is?

I wondered what Margot had up her sleeve as The Grumpiest Billionaire concluded, and once everything came to light, I was cheering her on from my perch, aka my very comfy reading chair. She was a woman on a mission, albeit a rather complicated one, and I felt for her as she balanced her need to see her plan through while also dealing with the impact of not only meeting her brothers, but also trying not to fall in love with Rhys. Speaking of Rhys, talk about a man who deserved some good things in his life! That "meet cute" he shared with Margot certainly left a mark on him--all in perfect shades of purple. These two had a lot more in common than one may initially think, and there was just this pull that they had towards each other that highlighted just how much of a connection they shared. Aside from their romance, there was also Margot navigating her relationships with her newly found brothers; and while Decker, Jack, and Lucky may have been triplets, every single one had their own unique personality. (Side note: I can't wait to see what Pippa Grant has planned for these three and their respective happily-ever-afters!) Faking Cinderella was about family, revenge, and love, and there's nothing fake about the five stars I'm giving it!
