Review: Binding Their Hearts by M.Q. Barber (Neighborly Affection #7)

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author.

Binding Their Hearts is the penultimate novel in the Neighborly Affection series, and I can't quite believe we're coming so close to the end of Henry, Jay, and Alice's story! I've been following these three from the moment I "met" them back in 2015. With each new installment to their story, the more emotionally invested I became. The combination of M.Q. Barber's writing and the tale she was weaving about her main characters had me coming back for more each and every time.

This seventh novel takes place not so long after the events in the sixth book. There is no denying how committed Henry, Jay, and Alice are to each other, but there are challenges that still need to be overcome or, at the very least, managed. I continue to love seeing such growth and development in these three, each one knowing that while love, trust, and respect are all a given, the relationship they have is one that needs as much care as it does work, and none of them take any of it for granted.

If you've yet to meet Henry, Jay, and Alice, I highly recommend you read the Neighborly Affection series in order. With the eighth and final (gasp!) novel coming next year, this is as good as any to see what you've been missing. I'm already getting all those bittersweet feels and the last book hasn't even come out yet! But that's what happens when you became as attached as I am to these three. I love that they continue to learn so much about each other, themselves, and how they are together. Five stars.
