Review: Royally in Trouble by Meghan Quinn (Royal #2)

Note: An advance reader copy was provided by the author.

The much anticipated sequel to Royally Not Ready is ready and waiting for readers! Meghan Quinn takes us back to Torskethorpe in time for the wedding of Her Royal Highness Princess Lilija, formerly known as Lilly Campbell, and Keller Fitzwilliam. But instead of Lilly and Keller relishing their happily-ever-after, things aren't going quite so smoothly. While all appears to be well within the confines of their bedroom, the engaged couple seem to be drifting apart the closer the royal nuptials gets. Maybe once they've exchanged vows, everything will get back on course; but not everyone wants a fairy tale ending for the heir to the throne and her betrothed. Rather, they just want to end them.

When I found out there was a follow-up to Royally Not Ready, I was pleasantly surprised as well as a wee bit nervous. Lilly and Keller's story ended quite nicely, and you know what they say about not messing with a good thing. I'm hope to note, however, that this continuation of Lilly and Keller's tale brought with it some intrigue and suspense, which made for an exciting read. Yes, the author's humor shines through, as does the romance, but all the additional elements gave it a different feel. I enjoyed this reunion with Lilly and Keller and all things Torskethorpe, which is why Royally in Trouble earns four stars.
