Review: Bending Bethany by Aria Cole

Note: This ARC was provided by TRSoR Promotions in exchange for an honest review.

Bending Bethany is the latest novella from author romance erotica author Aria Cole and it's about a professional soccer player named Jenson Abbott and a college senior named Bethany Howard who have a one-night stand that is spurred on towards something more with the help of a pair of missing underwear. Bethany has never been the type to break the rules, choosing to keep her sole focus on her studies. When her older sister badgers her into going to a bar, Bethany indulges in a few drinks but is okay with seeing Taylor walk off with a guy of her own. Pretty soon, though, Bethany has captured the attention of Jenson, but she has no clue who he is, which is part of her appeal as far as Jenson's concerned. But after one night of reckless abandonment, Bethany walks away. Can Jenson convince her to take a chance on dating him?

This was a fun, flirty, and filthy read from Aria Cole. Jenson wasn't the typical cocky pro jock who thought he was God's gift to women. He was charming and quite creative when it came to his romantic gestures to get Bethany to agree on a dinner date with him. I liked how Bethany was dedicated to finishing her degree. She knew how to have her bit of fun, but she also didn't lose sight of her goal, even though Jenson was proving to be one hell of a gorgeous distraction. I've read all of this author's novellas, save for one, and I must say that this latest release of hers is my favorite so far. It was angst-free and wasn't overly complicated with drama coming from the main characters pasts or even some crazy ex showing up. It was a straightforward love story with a good amount of heat and I so enjoyed it. Bending Bethany gets 4.5 stars. ♥
