Review: Endlessly Yours by Carrie Ann Ryan (The Wilder Brothers #10)

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author.

Endlessly Yours is the tenth novel--but twelfth book overall--in the Wilder Brothers series, featuring two sets of brothers, thus making them all cousins, who work together to make the family-owned Wilder Retreat and Winery a continuing success. Brooks Wilder is the lone Wilder standing, but he was also the first one to get married. He lost the love of his life to cancer, and while he promised Amara he would open himself to love once again, Brooks never had any intention of keeping that promise. Four years later, and he's been able to stand firm, not a single woman able to hold his attention long enough for anything more than a passing distraction. Well, except for Rory Thompson, his sister-in-law's best friend. All they had was one night together when they were both trying to not drown in all the grief that was crushing them. Of course, there was no way either of them could forget that night, especially not when their paths would cross as often as they did afterwards. Brooks knows keeping his distance is for the best, but when Rory finds herself the legal guardian of her two nieces, he can't help but step in and help.

Don't you just love it when a series you've enjoyed concludes in a highly satisfying manner? I've seen the Wilders work and fight for their happily-ever-afters, and it's near impossible to not become attached to both sets of siblings. Brooks was the only one who was still single going into this last book, but he also happened to be a widower who was still grieving the loss of his beloved wife, Amara. I understood why he was as hesitant to do much of anything when it came to his reaction any time he happened to be in the same space as Rory. Grief is one of those things that becomes a part of you, and there's no timeline that should be adhered to in order to get over it. Rory was dealing with her own grief, as well, and I felt like both she and Brooks made better sense with time having passed from that night they spent together to becoming friends and then more. The Montgomerys will forever be that family that has endless stories to tell with each passing generation, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Wilders gave them a run for their money and have journeys Carrie Ann Ryan's readers would love to read. Five stars go to Endlessly Yours.
