Review: Snowed In with My Best Friend by Carrie Ann Ryan

Note: An advance reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author.

Snowed In with My Best Friend is a short story by Carrie Ann Ryan and is part of a multi-authored anthology called Holiday Friend Zones. This review is solely for Ryan's contribution to the anthology, although I am hoping to have time to read the rest of the stories included. As you can tell from the title of the anthology, the theme is friends-to-lovers romances set during the holiday season. Ryan's story is also part of her Montgomery Ink Legacy series, and I do believe it takes place somewhere in between the events of the ninth full-length novel, Last Chance Seduction, which is Lexington Wilder Montgomery and Mercy Caddel's friends-to-lovers story.

Thirty-five-year-old voice actor and narrator Posy and thirty-nine-year-old master plumber Cullen are close friends who spend a lot of time together, but they're certainly not dating, or so they say. He's been slowly falling for her, but he wasn't sure if the feeling was mutual. Would risking their friendship be worth it? Well, maybe getting stuck in a cabin during a nightmare of a snowstorm would make his dream of being with her come true--and would it be a one-time thing or the first of forever? Suffice it to say, Carrie Ann Ryan delivers a quickie read that's got just enough of the sweet and steam to warm readers up. Four stars for Snowed In with My Best Friend.
