Review: Just Say Maybe by Tracy March (Thistle Bend #2)

Note: This ARC was provided by Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Author Tracy March has done it again with the second novel in her Thistle Bend series, with Just Say Maybe bringing readers the story of real estate lawyer Holly Birdsong, who was introduced in the first novel, Should've Said No, and adventure property developer Bryce Bennett. The latter is in Thistle Bend to purchase Lodge at Wild Rose Ridge and the former takes him as her latest client. Holly's apprehensive about having anything to do with the property, but Bryce is intent on working with her, especially since being in each other's company is an unexpected bonus. From starting off as smitten to having a simmering attraction that could become much more, Holly and Bryce may have something worth exploring. But will Holly and her family's connection to the property and Bryce's well-kept secret put a stop to their feelings?

I quite liked this sequel and the town of Thistle Bend is more than growing on me. Holly and Bryce were the kind of couple that simply clicked from the beginning and you knew that they were meant to be. Of course, it was going to be smooth sailing, not with the history Holly had connected to the property that Bryce was planning to purchase but also Bryce's secret. Now, avid romance readers know that secrets kept for far too long end up wreaking havoc on relationships that are just getting off the ground. Heck, they wreak havoc on established relationships as well! And if the romance aspect isn't enough, there's a dash of mystery suspense thrown into the mix and it fits the story and where it was headed, so a definite bonus there. With two good reads, I'm looking forward to book three in October. Four stars for Just Say Maybe. ♥
