Review: How About No by Lani Lynn Vale (Bear Bottom Guardians MC #3)

Note: An advanced reader copy (ARC) was provided by the author via InkSlinger PR.

Wade Johnson knew Landry Hill was going to be a game changer ever since he first saw her in the classroom where he was taking over for a sick friend's law enforcement class. They had to kind of beginning to a love story that would never have an ending...until all he had left was a note and later, more words and more paper that required his and her signatures so they could become divorced. They continue to live close enough for them to still see each other once in a while, and Wade does his best to continue to watch over the only woman he knows he'll ever love, even if she's already moved on with someone else. But nothing is quite what it seems, and when Wade finds out the truth, he realizes this could be his one chance to prove to Landry that they've always belonged together. The thing is, there are other things she's been keeping from him. What will it take for Wade to get Landry to say "yes"?

Lani Lynn Vale's Bear Bottom MC just keeps getting better with each new release. Book three is my favorite so far, and it's all thanks to a unique second chance love story between Wade, who is a law enforcement officer and a member of the Bear Bottom MC, and Landry, who runs both a daycare and a dog shelter. These two were lots of fun to get to know, and there was no denying that they still loved each other in spite of their being apart. There's a bit of angst courtesy of Landry's childhood and what ends up costing them their marriage. Landry's parents would never win any awards for how they treated the poor girl like nothing more than a commodity, but only when she was necessary, otherwise she was made to feel like a nuisance. There were a couple of twists I didn't see coming, making for an even better overall read. How About No snags five stars, and I can't wait for more Bear Bottom MC.
