Review: With This Bling by L.B. Gregg (Romano & Albright #3)

Note: This ARC was provided by Riptide Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

All is well in Caesar Romano's life. The catering business he co-owns with his best friend is doing well and his relationship with Dan Albright is going quite swimmingly. They have yet to say those three words that are supposed to mark a turning point in any relationship, but Caesar loves Dan and he knows that Dan loves him too. But there's still so much about Dan that Caesar is absolutely clueless about, especially when it comes to his past. When that very past comes knocking on the front door of Dan's home in Staten Island, Caesar's curiosity, one he's kept at bay, rears its nosy head, but a last-minute, pre-dawn television appearance and dealing with his cousin's asinine proposal plans has him busier than ever. However, when his and Dan's lives are put in danger, it's Caesar's turn to do some rescuing using his untapped hero skills.

With This Bling is the third and latest addition to the Romano & Albright series created by author L.B. Gregg and while original fans of the series had to wait five years to get their hands on this installment, dare I say that it's more than worth the wait. While I didn't have to wait that long since I read all three books back to back to back, I've become a fangirl in the span of three books, with my adoration for all things Romano & Albright reaching new heights with each new book. This story takes place about two weeks after the one in the second book, Trust Me If You Dare, and a heck of a lot has happened to Caesar Romano and Dan Albright in the few months that they've been together. They may still be maintaining separate homes (Ce lives with his Nana Cooper), but do not doubt how serious they are about each other.

That brand of wit that I've come to look for in the series is as sharp as ever and those exclusive moments reserved for just Ce and Dan still have me fanning myself, as is the mystery suspense elements surrounding the latest case Dan is involved in and in which Ce, once again, finds himself becoming an active participant. But there's something different about this newest book, and it could be because of the five-year wait, but it's almost as if everything here has been brought to a higher level. Then there's the whole switching of roles, and I loved how Ce went into rescuer mode. Fingers crossed that the series continues since there's still more worth discovering about Ce and Dan. If this is the end--NOOOOO! I only fell in love with R&A today!--then I'm, at least, glad it's on a five-starred note courtesy of With This Bling. ♥
