Review: Never Over You Boxed Set by Ryleigh Andrews (Never Over You #1-#3)

Note: This ARC was provided by Sassy Savvy Fab PR in exchange for an honest review.

Never Over You is a contemporary romance series by Ryleigh Andrews composed of three full-length novels--Bring Me You, Still Into You, and Never Over You--and has a short story that's part of a holiday-themed anthology, Hot for the Holidays. The boxed set, which is what I was able to read and review, includes all three full-length stories and bonus scenes that fans of the series will enjoy, especially the alternative or what-if scenes that I'm sure we've all wondered about when we read books, thinking what would have happened to the story had one or more of the characters done or said something differently.

The series covers the ups and downs in the relationship of one couple, professional football player Ethan Christopher and rock musician Mia Devereux, over the span of several years. These two appear to have the odds stacked against them from the very beginning, what with being insanely busy in their respective careers, but that's just one of the things their relationship is challenged with. Mia's past is something that haunts her and she deals with in less than ideal ways, but even as she stumbles and falls, it's her ability to get up time and again that makes her a heroine worth cheering for because she deserves to find happiness.

There are moments in the story that your heart breaks for both Mia and Ethan, and then there are those times that you're terribly tempted to smack them upside the head. You become emotionally invested in these two individuals who should be together more than they should be apart, but those times that they are apart are when they discover things about themselves and whether or not their relationship is worth fighting for. It's those struggles that make them stronger on the inside, and even though you can't help but get frustrated with the missteps they seem to have a penchant for, you want a happily-ever-after for them.

Boxed sets are, indeed, much longer reads, but if you're like me and don't have a lot of patience when it comes to waiting for the next book in a series, then this is certainly the way to go. What I liked best about this particular boxed set was that the author generously added things like bonus scenes that fans of the series wouldn't be able to resist. If you enjoy angsty romances, I recommend you checking out the Never Over You series. Be prepared for an emotional but worthwhile ride. I'm looking forward to seeing what Ryleigh Andrews has up next for us because this four-starred read makes her an author to watch out for. ♥
