Review: Cooper by Melissa Foster (Wild Boys After Dark #4)

Note: This ARC was provided by Tasty Book Tours in exchange for an honest review.

Four years ago, Cooper Wild and Celeste Fine spent one magical week together. They met, fell in love, and made promises of forever to each other...promises that were never fulfilled. After leaving for home, Cooper never returned to Cici and she was left wondering what happened to him and to the vows to have a life together. But now, Cooper wants to own up to his mistakes and to confess to Cici what happened back then and why he's stayed away from her all this time. There's no other woman that he's loved since Cici entered his life and Cooper hopes she'll give him the chance to prove that he's worth taking a chance on again. Cici is no longer the girl she once was. Her life went on after Cooper left her, but now that he's back, she realizes that she never stopped loving him either. But Cici has her own confession that she must make.

Cooper is the fourth and final book in the Wild Boys After Dark series written by bestselling author Melissa Foster and it's about the youngest and only unattached Wild brother. The thing is, Cooper Wild already gave his heart away to Cici Fine four years ago, a heart that still belongs to her even after he kept his distance and only got in touch with her once in all their time apart. This is a second chance romance and it's one that's filled with heart and heat, a prevailing aspect of all the books in this series. Cooper and Cici have four years of hurt and anger to deal with, and even though the reasons for Cooper's disappearance are very understandable, Cici also had a pregnancy that she had to face and for four years, she was left to raise their daughter on her own. So, this was definitely a reunion that had ups and downs.

This has been a great series and one that I've enjoyed from the first book to the last. Each love story was different and I couldn't help but appreciate the effort that the author put in to make sure that each of the Wild brothers were able to stand out. Yes, these were far steamier than fans of Melissa Foster's other series may be used to, but trust me when I say that these are worth reading and they prove that the author can do erotic romance just as well as she does contemporary romance. The books are fairly short reads and I was able to get through the entire series in one afternoon. What they may lack in terms of length they more than make up for in terms of story and characters and the lingering thought that family means something to Heath, Logan, Jackson, and Cooper Wild. Cooper gets five stars, as does the entire series. ♥
