Review: The Entity Who Came for Christmas by Cat Devon (Entity #2.5)

Simon Howell and Pru Daniels appear to be tied together by fate. He's a demon hunter vampire sired by Merlin and she's a witch with Morgan Le Fay as her ancestor that met in London only to have Pru leave with a broken heart and Simon with a curse. Now, they find themselves in Vamptown for the holidays. Simon wants Pru to get rid of the curse as much as he wants to find Excalibur, the legendary sword belonging to King Arthur. Can these two work together or could they both lose more than a fabled sword?

The Entity Who Came for Christmas is a holiday novella in the Entity series from Cat Devon and involves the best friends of the main characters from the second novel, The Entity Within. Simon Howell and Pru Daniels have a past together and now they have to work as a team in order to locate and lay claim to sword from the Arthurian legend known as Excalibur. There are demons that are lurking about, but what adds to the tension are all their unresolved feelings which started when they had a short-lived fling in London.

The inclusion of the legend of King Arthur and the ties that both Simon and Pru have to two of the more important characters from the tale--Merlin the wizard and Morgan Le Fay the witch, respectively--which play a role in what's going on between the two of them now. This is a very quick read but one that was creatively enticing. With a second chance romance feel and a fair amount of action and suspense thrown in, The Entity Who Came for Christmas definitely spices things up for Entity fans. This gets four stars. ♥
