Review: "Dare to Love" by Carly Phillips (Dare to Love #1)
Ian Dare refuses to be anything like his estranged father. Dare to Love is the first book in the series of the same title by bestselling author Carly Phillips. The series centers on the set of Dare siblings and cousins, with the siblings coming from two different families but having the same father. Because of the deception and how their father handled his respective relationships between the two families, things have been strained among certain siblings. So, aside from the love stories in each book, the dynamic among the family members becomes an important and interesting focal point.
I enjoyed reading Ian and Riley's love story and how they both had to adjust to one another's needs and wants, something that wasn't easy for either of them to do especially with their respective histories with their fathers, in order to have a future together. The issues within the family are as intriguing as the romance aspect so this will definitely be a series worth keeping track of. There's a healthy dose of drama and a whole lot of steam that makes Dare to Love a good book to curl up with this weekend. Four stars! ♥
